The Pentax Spotmeter V is an analog hand-held spot meter with a 1-degree measuring angle and is used for precise light metering in film photography. The best-known user of this instrument is Ansel Adams, who used it for proper exposure of landscape photographs via the so-called 'zone system'.
A spotmeter is still widely used for proper exposure of landscape photographs.
The device is in beautiful condition, operates accurately, and uses 3 A76/LR44 1.5-Volt batteries (present in the grip). Only the internal lighting does not work properly.
The device is complete with a suitable case.

De Pentax Spotmeter V is een analoge hand spotbelichtingsmeter met een meethoek van 1 graad en wordt gebruikt bij de precisie lichtmeting in de filmfotografie. De bekendste gebruiker van dit instrument is Ansel Adams die het inzette bij het juist belichten van landschapsopnamen via het zogenaamde ‘zonesysteem’. 
Een spotmeter wordt nog steeds veel gebruikt bij juist belichten van landschapsopnamen. 
Het toestel verkeert in een mooie staat, werkt nauwkeurig en gebruikt 3 stuks A76/ LR44 1,5 Volt batterijen (aanwezig in de handgreep). Slechts de binnenverlichting werkt niet naar behoren. 
Het toestel is compleet met een passend etui.
