Box - Thuya loupe - No reserve price

Superb gloves box or jewelry box (with its original key); it is made of Thuya burl wood (a precious African wood), blackened wood, and marquetry of brass fillets and mother-of-pearl. The tufted interior is in blue silk. The whole is from the Napoléon III era, second half of the 19th century.
Good overall condition with a few imperfections due to the passage of time, silk wear, a small area of missing wood on one side (see last photo).
Dimensions approximately 31.5 cm × 12 cm × 10 cm.
