Elegant spark screen for a fireplace, an antique piece made in fretted brass with a decorative design of great presence. Its folding fan-shaped frame shows meticulous work of perforations, scrolls and vegetal motifs, typical of decorative pieces from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The central body presents an ornate upper cap, and the leaves unfold smoothly, forming a symmetrical and highly decorative fan. It preserves its original patina, warm and uniform.
Very well preserved piece, solid and functional.
It is worth noting that one of the leaves showed play and has been closed with a threaded brass rivet, as seen in the penultimate images. The repair is discreet, stable and respectful of the original aesthetic.
Pieces scarce to find for its style and era. Highly sought after by collectors and interiors.
