Congo Belge 10 centimes coin, issued in 1889 under Leopold II, graded MS63 BN by NGC.

BELGIAN CONGO. 10 Cents. 1889. Leopold II (1885-1908)
- Value: 10 Cents.
- Reign: Leopold II (1885-1908).
- Year: 1889.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: 10 CTS. · 1889, with a large radiant central star and six smaller stars arranged laterally. Reverse: ETAT INDEP. DU CONGO · LEOPOLD II ROI DES BELGES SOUV. DE L'ETAT, with four crowned monograms of Leopold II arranged around the central perforation.
- Grading: MS63 BN (NGC).
Coin of 10 Centimes issued by the Free State of the Congo under Leopold II's personal sovereignty. The obverse presents a large five-pointed star pierced by the central hole, surrounded by rays and accompanied by smaller stars, forming a composition with a strongly symbolic character. The reverse shows four crowned monograms of Leopold II arranged radially around the central hole and the extensive legend alluding to his status as king of the Belgians and sovereign of the State of the Congo. A specimen in notable condition, with well-defined relief, clean surfaces and an attractive uniform reddish-brown tone, preserving good overall appearance and detail for the MS63 grade awarded by NGC.
