Description from the seller
This is a vintage modular wall cabinet from the Dutch brand Pastoe, designed in the spirit of the "Goed Wonen" movement from the 1950s and 1960s. This movement stood for modern, functional, and affordable design that was meant to improve daily life.
The cabinet is finished in wenge and features a clean, timeless design that is characteristic of Dutch mid-century modern furniture design. The wall cabinet consists of a combination of solid doors, open shelves, and drawers, giving the piece both practical storage space and opportunities for decorative display.
The modular nature of the system means that the different elements can be rearranged as desired or used separately. This makes the furniture very flexible and adaptable to different spaces or needs.
On one of the cabinet doors the original Pastoe "goed wonen" label is still visible – a valuable detail that testifies to the authenticity and design-historical value of this piece of furniture.
The cabinet components show minimal signs of use, see photos. Some joints are damaged, but this does not affect functionality or sturdiness. Two door magnets and four shelf supports have been replaced.
The cabinet is transported in parts and must be assembled by the buyer.
