This hand-knotted Bidjar rug from India features a classic Herati design with a geometrically worked central medallion. The bold red inner field is densely adorned with stylized flowers, tendrils, diamonds and traditional Herati motifs.

Stair-step corner ornaments and several intricately patterned borders in dark blue, red, green and beige frame the inner field harmoniously.
The high-contrast coloring and dense pattern give the rug a traditional and distinctive appearance.

Due to its narrow format, the rug is especially suitable for hallways, corridors, entry areas or as a decorative accent in living and work spaces.
