This hand-knotted Bidjar rug from India features a classic Herati design with a distinctive geometric central medallion. The subdued green interior field is densely adorned with stylized flowers, leaves and diamond-shaped Herati motifs.

Step-like corner ornaments and several finely patterned borders in cream, beige, brown and subtle pastel tones harmoniously frame the interior field. The restrained color palette and the intricate pattern give the rug a calm and elegant presence in a room.
