Description from the seller
A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage)
The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japanese production, designed with criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Appreciated by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s construction philosophy in the consumer/semi-professional segment of the era.
The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of the recording, playback, and erase functions via dedicated heads. Mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and tracking instability.
Condition of the unit
This particular unit presents in excellent cosmetic condition, kept for a long time exclusively on static display (showcase) and used in an extremely limited way.
• Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no visible signs of wear
• Front panel, knobs and VU meters in overall excellent condition
• No apparent modifications or tampering
• Mechanically in order and functioning normally during tests
Functionality
The unit has been tested and is operational in its main functions:
- Play
- Fast Forward
- Rewind
- Recording
