Overview
This is a highly decorative antique display ensemble consisting of a small mechanical pocket watch, a long gold-plated pocket watch chain, and an antique glass display box decorated with a view of Notre-Dame de Paris.
The pocket watch features an ornate gold-tone dial with blue shield-shaped Roman numeral markers and decorative blue hands. The reverse of the case is richly decorated with engraved floral and botanical motifs. What makes this lot particularly distinctive, however, is the accompanying glass display box. Bevelled glass panels, gilt-tone metal mounts, four decorative feet and a pink fabric-lined interior give it a strong European antique character, while the Notre-Dame scene on the top adds further decorative and period appeal.
The main highlight of this lot is the complete presentation created by the small decorative pocket watch, long gold-plated chain and Notre-Dame antique glass display box.

Condition:
The pocket watch, chain and display box all show natural age-related and usage marks. The watch case shows light surface wear and colour variation, while the engraved decoration remains visually attractive. The dial remains clear, with the blue markers and hands retaining strong visual presence. The chain shows normal signs of use.
The metal framework of the display box shows oxidation, colour variation and localised wear. The glass shows minor surface marks consistent with age, and the pink lining displays some wear and ageing. These characteristics are consistent with an antique display object and contribute to its natural period appearance.
