Sewing cabinet in beech wood with metal details, Italian manufacture from the early 1950s, Mid‑Century Modern design, in excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Sewing cabinet in Beech wood with metal details.
Italian manufacture, early 1950s.
Entirely made of Beech wood, it features an accordion-style fold-out supporting structure.
Equipped with a handle for transport, it has at the bottom a small shelf for objects and 360° swivel wheels to facilitate movement.
The usable upper compartments are five, of which one is wide at the base and the other four, two per side, are smaller with corresponding compartments.
Part of the furnishings of a noble residence, the item has been preserved over time in excellent condition as it was placed in guest rooms.
Rarely used, considering this is a piece over 70 years old, the preservation and maintenance are perfect, i.e. free of any imperfections or defects.
Structurally solid and intact, it preserves the original wood patina never tampered with and which has been periodically nourished with Beeswax to keep it in top condition.
Please note to a potential buyer that any slight darkening on the metal cups of the swivel wheels has been deliberately left to preserve its originality.
The functional design, typical of Mid-Century style, characterized and accentuated by its distinctive morphology, makes it an elegant, practical, and refined container.
An incomparable testament over time to the refined and innovative Made in Italy Mid-Century design, today it can be safely used as a furnishing accessory, enriching any type of environment.
