Description from the seller
The AA-R20 combines a stereo amplifier with an analog FM/AM tuner. The front panel includes, among other things, separate bass and treble controls, balance, loudness, FM muting, tape monitor, and a connection for headphones. Two pairs of speakers can be switched separately via Speaker A and B. The illumination is less noticeable in the studio. In normal rooms it’s fine.
A distinctive feature of this model is the built-in power indicator, which displays the output power via a row of indicators. The classic illuminated tuning scale and separate analog meters for signal strength and tuning make it typical of a receiver from Akai’s late 1970s period.
On the back there are connections for two pairs of speakers, suitable for 4–16 ohms per pair or 8–16 ohms when using A+B. This unit is the 220 V / 50 Hz version and was manufactured in Japan.
