Composite didactic poultry anatomy model attributed to DIDACTA S.P.R.L. – AUG. BOSSAERTS & FILS of Antwerp, Belgium, dating to around 1930, in good condition with minor wear and stains for its age, featuring a removable lateral section revealing detailed internal anatomy and a circular base label bearing the maker's name, with dimensions: width 44 cm, depth 22 cm, height 54 cm.
Description from the seller
Didactic anatomical chicken model – DIDACTA / Aug. Bossaerts & Fils – Antwerp, Belgium – 1930
An important didactic anatomical model of a chicken, intended for teaching animal anatomy and veterinary sciences.
A substantial side section is removable, revealing a detailed and polychrome representation of the internal anatomy: spine, trachea, musculature, vessels and various organs. The anatomical structures are numbered with reference to a pedagogical nomenclature.
The model rests on its original circular base, bearing the label:
« DIDACTA S.P.R.L. – AUG. BOSSAERTS & FILS – ANVERS »
This Antwerp house specialized in distributing educational material. The label thus helps establish Belgian commercial provenance, without, however, identifying the model’s manufacturer with certainty.
Old inventory number « HG-13-03-005 » inscribed on the base, presumably indicating its use in an educational institution.
Good overall condition with wear, small chips and signs of use consistent with its age and purpose.
Ideal for a collection of teaching equipment, veterinary history, or a cabinet of curiosities.
Photos are an integral part of the object description and complement its presentation. They allow you to assess its condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any bidding.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.
Happy bidding
