Solid oak Jacobean/Louis XIII Revival low bench or coffee table, circa 1850–1900, with a hand‑carved floral central rosette top, dark uniform patina, and four short barley‑twist legs connected by an H‑shaped brace.
Description from the seller
Rest / Small Jacobean-style end table, late 19th century or early 20th century (Victorian / Revivalist period).
Magnificent low rectangular bench (footstool-like or teapot table) in solid oak, entirely hand-carved. The top features a rich central ornamental rosette with a geometric surround carved in deep relief. The frame rests on four short turned legs with barley twist, joined by H-shaped stretchers, also turned, giving great stability and sturdiness to the piece. Jacobean / Louis XIII-inspired style.
Overall good condition, presenting a natural, even dark patina. Wear commensurate with age and use is visible on the edges and feet, attesting to its antiquity. Solid construction.
