Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• ASI homologation with Gold Plate at the highest levels and Historical Relevance Certificate (CRS)
• Rare 3rd Series produced only in 1971/72, characterized by the four front headlights of equal diameter
• Finished in the original Rosso 249 color with rare Cromodora alloy wheels
• Indicated 44,000 km on the odometer and drivable also by novice drivers
• Bodywork restored a few years ago and new exhaust system
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The Fiat 880 Sport Coupé, designed by Fiat Styling Center under the direction of Mario Boano, was introduced to offer a sporty and elegant variant to the 850 range. The third series, produced in a short span between 1971 and 1972, represents the final and rarest declination of the model. Immediately recognizable by the four headlamps of equal diameter, it combines lightness of the chassis with brilliant dynamic qualities. This 1971 specimen is finished in the characteristic Rosso 249 color and is ASI Gold Plate homologated. Regular periodic inspection was carried out with a normal outcome on 30 May 2025 at 43,000 km.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
The 2-door bodywork was restored a few years ago by the previous owner. The paint in the original Rosso 249 color is in good overall condition, showing only minimal and physiological signs of use, as well as light and circumscribed conservation touch-ups. The structure is solid and consistent with the original configuration. The car is equipped with the rare Cromodora alloy wheels of the era. The underbody has never undergone a full restoration but is in solid condition and road-legal.
INTERNI:
The 4-seater cabin preserves black vinyl upholstery and original factory finishes. Seats, door panels and interior trim remain well preserved with minimal signs of time. The cabin roof lining is in good original condition, as is the dashboard and the standard analog instrumentation.
MECCANICA:
The rear-mounted 4-cylinder 903 cc engine develops 54 HP (39 kW) and is paired with rear-wheel drive and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car starts promptly and is roadworthy; the clutch and gearbox operate correctly. The engine has been fully checked and the exhaust system has been replaced with a new one. The suspension, braking system and electrical system are in good condition.
DOCUMENTI:
The car is equipped with ASI Gold Plate homologation at the highest level and Historical Relevance Certificate (CRS). The periodic inspection is regular, with the last due on 30/05/2025.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
