Description from the seller
Rare Saint-Louis Crystal Bar Ensemble – Tommy Model (8+1 pieces)
A magnificent antique bar set in clear hand-cut lead crystal from the prestigious French manufacturer Saint-Louis, to be seized. It is the famous iconic Tommy model (created in 1928).
This complete and coherent lot of 9 pieces in total comprises two complementary formats:
• 2 whiskey / Old Fashioned tumblers (Height: 9 cm) – Ideal for whiskey or cocktails. (Note: a third 9 cm glass with a slight whitening is included in this lot as well)
• 6 cylindrical tumblers / shot glasses (Height: 7 cm) – Perfect for fine liqueurs, white spirits, or vodka.
• Recognizable model thanks to its splendid cut work: body with diamond points, outer polygonal base with 12 straight facets, inner bottom of the bowl rounded like a cuvette, and a superb radiating star cut under the base.
• Old production (pre-1936): the glasses do not bear the more recent acid-etched hallmark, which testifies to their age (at that time, only a paper label was affixed).
