Ernst Plank lying brass boiler on a metal firebox, circa 1900, made of brass and lead, a complete boiler set with steam dome, lever safety valve, steam whistle, filling connector, manometer and water gauge with drain tap, in used condition with signs of age and wear.
Description from the seller
The horizontal brass boiler rests on a sheet-metal firebox with finely embossed brickwork decor, two fire door panels with perforated air rosettes and an open firing opening. Complete boiler assembly with steam dome, lever safety valve, steam whistle, filling fitting, pressure gauge, and sight glass with drain cock. The steam is routed to the machine via a separately mounted shut-off valve with handwheel on the base plate.
The horizontal single-cylinder engine sits on a green-painted cast bed and features an eccentric valve gear, brass cylinder, a large flywheel with a wide metal rim, a centrifugal governor, and an additional pulley for driving accessory models. The painted wooden baseplate is finished in red, with green lining and framed by a profiled black frame; two holes were used to mount drive models.
Dimensions: baseplate __ × __ cm, boiler Ø __ cm, flywheel Ø __ cm, height __ cm, weight __ kg.
Condition: Used, with signs of age and wear. Chimney and burner not present. Manometer presumably replaced later; solder joints visible on the boiler. Engine bed and flywheel probably repainted; baseplate with paint defects and edge scratches. No factory evidence of a fixed assembly of boiler, engine and baseplate. Function and pressure resistance have not been tested; offered as a collector’s and display item.
