Description from the seller

BMW - K 100 RS - 1000 cc - 1985 - Original preserved with period accessories
Main data:
Brand: BMW
Model: K 100 RS
Registration year: 1985
Mileage: 96,000 km
Conditions: Mechanical ready to ride, aesthetics preserved (fairings to be repainted)
Plate: Original first registration plate with CN province (Cuneo).
Pickup location: 21/A Via Vivaro Alba (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy).

Vehicle description:
We propose at auction an authentic piece of motor-tourism history from the 1980s: the legendary BMW K100RS, famous for its indestructible 4-cylinder “flat-four” engine. This specimen represents an excellent opportunity for those seeking a solid and purely historical base, having remained completely original and free from structural modifications. As visible in the extensive photo set, the fairings require a repaint due to normal wear over time.

Technical conditions
Mechanical and engine: The famed 4-cylinder flat-four engine of 987 cm³ shows no fluid leaks or abnormal smoothness issues. The bike starts immediately, runs and shifts smoothly. Gears and clutch are fluid and precise in engagement.

Maintenance: Full service (service interval) completed and work performed on the braking system at the end of May 2026. The brakes are ready to use and the discs are in excellent condition. Tires with well-defined tread, still fully usable. The driveshaft is clean and free of leaks.

Electrical system: Fully checked and perfectly functional. Low/high beams, indicators, and rear brake light are operational. Digital clock on the dashboard functioning.

Documentation and equipment
Documents and plate: The bike is regularly registered in Italy and has its original first-registration plate with CN (Cuneo) province. Frame number (OOO2235K10ORS) and the BMW original manufacturer plate are on the frame and clearly legible.

Keys: Full set consisting of 5 keys: 2 ignition keys (1 original BMW and 1 duplicate), 1 key for the locker of the suitcases and hard cases, 2 keys for the steer lock.

Included accessories: Original BMW Touring hard side cases set, original rear top case, and a soft era-era tank bag.

Shipping and Pickup
Pickup: The lot is available exclusively for on-site pickup by the buyer (or via a specialized courier arranged and fully managed by the buyer) at the location where the bike is housed, 21/A Via Vivaro Alba (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy).

Note: the pickup point is Alba (CN), not Catania.

Ownership transfer or any export deregistration procedures are entirely the purchaser’s responsibility.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
