Bencini 2x Comet - Custom Pop Art / Analogue camera

Pair of Bencini Comet cameras – Custom Pop Art

Originally produced in series and intended for mass production, these two Bencini Comet cameras have been reinterpreted, transforming them into a pair of objects with a pop, deliberately kitschy character.

The project stems from the idea of giving a new identity to two industrial photographic objects, keeping their vintage appearance but introducing a contemporary decoration, playful and out of the ordinary.

For the customization a paper base was used, hand-painted with oil paints and subsequently protected with a glossy finish, designed to seal the surface and increase its durability over time.

The cameras are tested and functional; the lenses are cleaned and free of scratches. Given the nature of the customization, the batch is particularly suited for collectors' or display use.
