Impressive and heavy vintage sculpture of a horse with a two-wheeled cart, entirely made in solid brass.
This is a particularly large and heavy piece, with a length of no less than 44 cm and a weight of around 3.5 kilograms. Because of its size and weight, the object has a very solid and high-quality appearance.
The horse is beautifully shaped in a running pose, with one front leg gracefully raised. The tack, saddle, and anatomical details are nicely worked out in brass. The large open-spoked wheels, long traces/trees and nicely formed loading box complete the composition.
The cart is assembled from several brass parts and equipped with large swiveling spoked wheels. Especially the construction and the substantial size make this a striking decorative object.
The brass has developed a beautiful warm patina over the years. Not overly polished, so the original vintage character is well preserved.
