Description from the seller
Elegant and scenographic vintage table lamp, manufactured in West Germany, dating from the 1960s/1970s.
The lamp features a prominent base in glossy white glazed ceramic, characterized by a softly bulbous cylindrical shape and a distinctive vertical decorative element. A raised band runs along the entire body of the lamp, comprised of a sequence of concentric circular and spiral motifs molded in the ceramic, a defining feature of the design.
The contrast between the smooth, luminous surfaces of the ceramic and the highly tactile central band gives the piece a typically Mid-Century aesthetic, halfway between organic decoration and geometric exploration.
The upper part is completed by brass-toned metal elements, creating an elegant contrast with the white ceramic.
Completing the lamp is the large ivory-colored fabric cylindrical shade, finished along the edges with coordinated trim, which emphasizes its slender proportions and notable decorative presence.
With an overall height of about 70 cm, this is a lamp of substantial size, suitable both as a light source and as a true decorative element, particularly effective on sideboards, consoles, and low furniture.
