Rare 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicting Saint Anthony the Great and Saint Athanasius of Alexandria.
Executed in egg tempera on wood panel with a gold background. The composition presents both saints in full figure, following Orthodox iconographic tradition.
On the left appears Saint Anthony the Great, dressed in a dark monastic habit, hood, and long white beard. He holds a staff and a parchment with religious inscriptions.
On the right is Saint Athanasius of Alexandria, vested in episcopal attire and an omophorion decorated with crosses. He holds a Gospel book while raising his right hand in a blessing gesture.
Both figures feature metallic repoussé halos (venets) with floral relief, affixed to the painted surface.
