Description from the seller
Royal Copenhagen – bottle/decanter no. 4494
Elegant white porcelain bottle by Royal Copenhagen, model no. 4494, characterized by a refined slender form and a delicate floral relief decoration.
The body, with a soft, rounded shape, develops into a long, tapering neck, ending in an opening with an undulating and slightly flared profile. Completing the ensemble is the characteristic spherical porcelain stopper, perfectly coordinated with the bottle.
On the front, there is an elegant flower-burst relief with flowers, leaves, and stems emerging from the white porcelain surface. The absence of color allows the plastic decoration to take on a nearly sculptural character, particularly appreciated as the light changes.
The form and decoration are a fine example of Royal Copenhagen’s 20th-century decorative production, where the tradition of Danish porcelain is interpreted through restrained forms and refined naturalism. Model 4494 is documented as a white porcelain bottle/decanter with a raised floral decoration and stopper, produced in Denmark.
