Description from the seller
Art Nouveau (Liberty Style) Small gilded bronze desk tray signed L. Levée
Refined decorative object in gilded bronze signed L. Levée, expression of the elegant and refined taste of French Art Nouveau.
The sinuous and asymmetric shapes, combined with the rich decoration inspired by the vegetal world, give the tray a distinctive character, typical of the decorative taste of the Belle Époque. The edges and ends are adorned with relief motifs depicting flowers, buds and leaves, arranged along soft and dynamic lines. The decoration seems to develop organically along the profile of the object, creating a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetic value. The gilded finish enhances the relief details and gives the surface a warm and refined luminosity, making the piece particularly decorative.
At the bottom there is the signature “L. Levée”, a point of interest for enthusiasts of French decorative arts and period objects.
