Description from the seller

IN HIGHLIGHT:
• GMC Suburban SLE 3500 equipped with a 7.4-liter Big Block V8
• Rare heavily built 3500 version
• Equipped with a new battery and mechanically sound

STORY/OVERVIEW:
The GMC Suburban is one of the most iconic utility and transport vehicles in American production, renowned for its imposing presence and cargo capacity. This 1991 SLE 3500 is powered by the potent 7.4-liter V8 engine (454 cu in). The car was purchased on the Catawiki platform and presents as a project to restore, having sat idle for quite some time. Registration documents, original plates, and maintenance history are not available. Only one key is provided.

BODYWORK/PAINT:
The bodywork is in condition requiring review, with visible signs of wear and aesthetics. There are scratches, small dents, previous welds, and several spots showing rust. Some cosmetic parts and exterior seals are cracked or loose. The tailgate lock is currently jammed and the tailgate does not open. The tires are in good condition.

INTERIOR:
The cabin remains in normal condition but requires specific restorations. There are torn fabrics, worn parts, and interior panels detached. The headliner has detached and needs to be fixed. In terms of instrumentation and accessories, the automatic gear lever indicator sometimes does not show the correct gear, and Check indicators light up sporadically on the onboard computer. The windshield washer pump, the left rear window regulator, and the horn are not functioning. Some non-original accessories have been installed subsequently.

MECHANICS:
The vehicle is equipped with the 7.4-liter V8 engine and is mechanically sound, though it requires general maintenance and a thorough service due to prolonged inactivity. Starting is sometimes difficult, but the car has a new battery. There is no service book or history of past service available.

DOCUMENTS:
The car is sold without registration documents and without plates.

Delivery to your doorstep can be arranged in Italy or abroad, at the buyer’s expense. The car is viewable and collectible by appointment. It is advisable to view the vehicle before making an offer. Costs related to documentation or transport are the buyer’s responsibility.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
