Mid‑Century Modern coffee table from Czechoslovakia, made of wood with walnut/mahogany veneer and a mirror finish, in excellent condition with slight signs of wear and age.
Description from the seller
Splendid and iconic mid-century modern coffee/tea table dating from the 1960s and originating from Czechoslovakia. This piece represents a perfect example of the famous “Brussels Style,” a design movement born and established in Central Europe after the triumph of the Czechoslovak pavilion at the 1958 World Expo.
The table stands out for its dynamic and asymmetric design: the main top features an elegant shield/trimmed triangle shape, enhanced by a beautiful walnut/maple veneer with clearly visible mirror-like grain and a glossy, mirror finish typical of the era. The profile is accentuated by a refined and elegant brass edge that gives the furniture a Space Age touch.
At mid-height there is a practical second lower shelf, ideal as a magazine rack. The legs are fitted with a screw pin and are easily dismantled for safe transport.
A piece of design vintage with great historical charm and timeless aesthetics, perfect for enhancing both vintage interiors and contemporary environments.
