Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
The ECoSDetector 50094 is a digital feedback module with 16 inputs, including four RailCom inputs, supplied in its original packaging in mint condition.
Description from the seller
ECoSDetector feedback module, 16 digital inputs of which 4 RailCom.
Current sensor
The ECoSDetector can monitor 16 track sections. The inputs can be switched individually between a switching input (ground input) or current sensor using a jumper. The ECoSDetector can therefore be universally used on all rail systems and is therefore the first choice for all 2-wire controllers. Since the inputs, in which a maximum of 3 A may flow, can be fed separately in two groups of current, each ECoSDetector can cover a maximum of two booster circuits. Optocouplers ensure reliable detection.
Train number detection
In addition to conventional track occupancy detectors, the ECoSDetector can also specially monitor four of the 16 track sections: Using RailCom technology ("local detector"), it can be determined in these sections not only whether a train is running, but even which train it is (train number detection). For this, you obviously need RailCom-compatible locomotive decoders.
Smart
Knowing exactly which train is on a section, in combination with the ECoS route module, leads to new features: The barriers at a level crossing can automatically be lowered, or trains search for a free track at the shunting yard. In this process, the switching inputs or track occupancy detectors are electronically "disconnected" to ensure reliable feedback, even with unreliable contact or heavily polluted rails.
ECoSlink connection
Each ECoSDetector is directly connected to the control center via the ECoSlink bus. Suitable are all ECoS command stations and all Central Station Reloaded with ESU Update. The galvanic isolation of the bus system and the command station guarantees the highest operational safety and a secure transmission to the command station. All ECoS detectors are automatically recognized in the central unit and integrated into the operational sequence. The configuration of the devices is done conveniently and easily directly on the command station and can also be performed after installation.
Future built-in
The control software of every ECoSDetector can be updated and expanded with additional features if necessary: The required “update” is automatically carried out when needed by the control panel. This way your ECoSDetector is always up-to-date with the latest technology.
