AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful rare “Collectors Item” Doublé (gold plated) Art Nouveau cufflinks with a young lady in profile + Floral motifs. Nice quality!
Note: E. Dropsy = Jean-Baptiste Émile Dropsy (1848 - 1923) and Or Double 'Titre Fixe' + master mark. N.B. The gold plating is good and the colour of the cufflinks is uniform! In the photos this is not always easy to see!
N.B. 'Titre Fixe' (or simply 'FIX'): This was a famous French trade mark, founded in 1823 by Maison Savard. It stood for a thick layer of 18-carat gold that was mechanically pressed onto a brass or bronze base. The quality was so high that the gold hardly wore off, hence the name 'Fixe' (fixed content).
'Or Double': This is the French (and internationally used) term for rolled gold. It literally means "double gold" and indicates that the base material is coated on both sides with a solid gold layer.
