The painting “Composition with Gold” by Irena Lenartowicz (IKA) is an expressive abstraction in which the artist combines contrasting elements of light and darkness. Dominated by shades of gray, black, and white, the composition is enlivened by dynamic splashes and streams of gold paint. The gold becomes the key accent of the piece — illuminating and energizing the surface, giving it a sense of depth and movement.
The brushwork is both spontaneous and deliberate, revealing a balance between emotion and control. The structure of the painting conveys energy and intensity, evoking an inner dialogue between chaos and harmony. Gold, symbolizing light and spirituality, contrasts with the cool, raw background — perhaps serving as a metaphor for hope or brilliance emerging from darkness.
“Composition with Gold” is a visually powerful work — modern yet full of symbolism. It fits perfectly in gallery spaces and contemporary interiors, bringing elegance, energy, and a deep emotional resonance.

Seller's Story
For us, painting is an expression of ourselves. We have been painting for over 25 years. We mainly deal with modern and abstract painting. For years, we have had great fondness for the color of gold and we use it most often in our paintings. In addition to golden paintings, you can also admire our multicolored abstractions, they add a lot of positive energy to a modern interior. To date, we have sold over 2000 paintings on Catawiki to collectors throughout Europe, the USA and Asia. For which we would like to thank everyone :)
