HISTORY/PANORAMA
In 1968, FIAT introduced the 500 L, a more refined version of the 500 F, featuring aesthetic details and finishes designed to give it a more elegant look. Among the main differences were chrome-tubed bumpers, new wipers, changes to the FIAT logo, and the addition of chrome details.
The proposed example preserves the characteristics of the Lusso version and comes with black plates and the historical booklet with pages, and with the entire history: original paint, insurance document and even the original first-assembly service booklet. It is rare to see a Fiat 500 with such an original preservation.
EXTERIOR
The bodywork is generally solid, with some signs of age and localized corrosion typical of a non-restored preserved car. The paint is still largely factory original. The color is the original Fiat Beige. The chrome details are original and in good condition with a normal patina of time, as expected for the whole car.
A measurement with a gauge did not reveal any evidence of significant accidents.
The underbody is generally solid and original; no signs of accidents and it has never been restored.
INTERIOR
The interiors are original, still in good condition and well usable. The soft top shows no tears, it opens and closes smoothly. The original steering wheel is present as is the nice dashboard typical of the series.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car is fitted with the original 499cc engine and was recently restarted after a long period of inactivity. The vehicle runs and can be driven, as does the gearbox. Given the limited use in recent years and the expired technical inspection, it is advisable to perform a full service check before road use.
The technical inspection (revision) expired in June 2025 and up to then the car was kept in usable mechanical efficiency.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
