AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
For sale: a magnificent complete dinner service set including a soup tureen, its lid, and a matching display stand (large platter) in fine English earthenware from the renowned manufacturer.
It is the iconic model « Blue Tower » (blue and white Chinese-inspired pattern with a central landscape of a tower and Italian ruins).
• Authenticity and dating certified: Presence of the blue oval stamp under the base ("Copeland Spode's Tower England"). The recessed mark precisely confirms the year of manufacture: 1919 (an authentic antique piece over 100 years old).
• Material: High-end fine earthenware (Crown Body-type clay).
• Condition: Very good overall for its age. The interior is immaculate. No major chips or through cracks. There is craquelure (fine natural cracks in the surface glaze), which is completely normal, sound, and typical of English earthenware from that era.

• Total height of the tureen: 23 cm
