Description from the seller
Antique Polydor suitcase gramophone approx. 1929 – green – working/original
Beautiful old Polydor suitcase gramophone, presumably dating from around 1929/early 1930s.
The gramophone features the original Polydor mechanism and a POLYDOR MICA soundbox. Suitable for old 78 rpm shellac records. The green case and parts are in used, authentic condition with the usual signs of wear and aging that a specimen of nearly 100 years old would have.
Features:
* Polydor / Deutsche Grammophon
* Probably approx. 1929–early 1930s
* Original POLYDOR MICA soundbox
* Mechanical spring motor with crank
* Adjustable speed, including 78 rpm
* Automatic return/stop
* Green case version
* Dimensions approx. 40 × 30 cm
* Includes several 78 rpm records
I could not locate the exact model number. Based on design and components, it is a Polydor suitcase gramophone from this period; possibly from the Gramola series.
Given its age, it shows visible signs of wear. The soundbox, among other things, has lacquer loss.
