Description from the seller

Javanese spear "Tombak" – Damascus steel blade (Pamor) & noble wood sheath (51 cm)

Description :
Very beautiful traditional Indonesian spear (Java), called Tombak, presented with its short grip/handle and its custom-made sheath in noble wood.

Blade (Tombak) : Superb traditional Javanese smithing work in folded/fiolished steel (Damascus steel / Pamor). The blade features very marked undulated and concentric patterns along its entire length.

Mount & Sheath (Sarung) : Made in veined/curly exotic wood (type Kayu Pelet or mamba), beautifully highlighting the natural hues of the wood.

Total length: 51 cm
Blade length: 19.5 cm

Condition : Very good condition. The pamor of the blade is clearly visible and the patina of the wood is superb.

A very beautiful piece for collectors of traditional Indonesian art weapons and Damascus steel forging (Pamor).
