Description from the seller
The Denon DAP-5500 is a high-end stereo preamplifier with a built-in DAC, built in Japan (circa 1987–1992). Within Denon’s top tier, this model is known for its strictly separated dual-mono construction: the digital and analog circuits each have their own independent transformer and power supply to prevent interference and crosstalk. The built-in DAC uses four parallel-connected 16-bit PCM56P-K Burr-Brown converters with fourfold oversampling, which results in a quiet, accurate and dynamic sound image. In addition, the device features both balanced XLR outputs and regular Cinch connections. The unit is sold as a standalone preamplifier. In terms of condition, the unit is in neat condition with normal signs of use for its age. The unit has been tested working.
