Description :

Imposing and elegant storage cabinet in Louis XV style in solid oak with veneer, opening on the façade with six doors and six drawers. This well-crafted piece stands out for the quality of its sculptures and the finesse of its ornamentation.

Structure and composition :

Central section :
Glass-front module with two doors enclosing an exhibition space with removable glass shelves and a blue suede/velvet-lined back.

Side sections :
Two large solid modules each closed by two doors carved with rocaille motifs, shells and scrolls.

Lower section :
Row of 6 drawers with original patinated bronze/brass handles.

Base :
Rests on a moulded curved pedestal carved with a large central shell and finished with scrolled feet / claw feet (cabriole).

Details and ironwork :
Lock escutcheons, handles and fittings in original chased bronze.
Working key included.
Upper cornice carved with gadrooned/twisted motifs.
