Magnificent Renaissance-inspired table lamp, made in relief-carved wood and hand-polychromed. The piece represents a column with a Corinthian capital, ornamented with volutes, cauliculi and acanthus leaves, faithfully following the classical architectural language.
The shaft is divided into four sections by golden rings, and in each segment delicate carvings of flowers, garlands and small angels unfold, painted with excellent polychromy that provides depth, texture and a clearly sculptural air. The column ends in two rings separated by a scotia, completing the composition with a balance very typical of Renaissance craftsmanship reinterpreted in the 20th century.
The lamp retains a patchwork textile shade, composed of classical fabrics in pastel tones, beige, pink and blue, with floral motifs and a gold trim. This combination creates a very interesting dialogue between craft and decorative, providing a unique visual presence.
A Renaissance lamp like this introduces warmth, visual richness and a collector's touch, becoming a focal point in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms of modern, classical or eclectic style.
