Neoclassical Louis XVI console, unique piece, in walnut wood from the early 20th century, in the antique style.
Description from the seller
Elegant Neoclassical Luís XVI Console – Antique Green & Gold – One-of-a-kind Piece with Aristocratic Character
Here is a true interior jewel: a console with perfect proportions and unmistakable presence, as if it had stepped straight from a Paris salon of the late eighteenth century or from an elegant European residence of the nineteenth century.
The top in noble wood with a golden honey tone, with delicately cut corners, contrasts magnificently with the carved apron painted in a deep blue-green (antique green / faux-marble), divided into panels of classical purity. The fluted and tapered legs, of impeccable elegance, end in small feet and are crowned by carved corner blocks with open flowers (anthemions) in relief, fully gilded. The front apron displays scrolls and gilded ornaments of great delicacy, giving the piece movement and luxury.
The combination of the sophisticated green with aged gold creates a lighting and shadow effect that is absolutely seductive — a piece that “brightens” any corner, whether in an entrance hall, beside a sofa, or as a preferred support in a contemporary living room. The contrast between the warm wood of the top and the cold sophistication of green + gold makes it extremely versatile and current, despite its deeply classical soul.
Dimensions: Height 70 cm | Width 63 cm | Depth 33.5 cm
Weight: only 5.5 kg (easy to move and rearrange)
This is not just a table. It is an object of desire, a signature of good taste, a piece that tells stories of candlelit salons and interiors where beauty was law. Rare in its color combination and in the quality of sculpture and gilding work. A unique opportunity to bring a touch of great French elegance into your home.
Overall condition very good, with patina and natural wear that only time and true use can give — exactly what true connoisseurs seek.
A standout piece. A piece to be loved. A piece to be kept.
