Description from the seller

This is a unique and historic collector's item: the original Swiss champion jersey of the legendary cyclist Fabian Cancellara from the 2013 racing season, complete with his race number and signature.

The historical context and design:

• Swiss Championship 2013: Fabian Cancellara ("Spartacus") won the Swiss national road title in June 2013. As reigning national champion, he was allowed to wear the rest of the season in this striking jersey, which is characterized by the large national flag (the white cross on a red background).
• The Team: The jersey bears the logos of the then WorldTour cycling team RadioShack Leopard Trek. On the top right of the chest you can see the sponsors RadioShack, Leopard and bicycle maker Trek.
• The Tour de Suisse: Directly beneath the team sponsors is the Vaudoise logo, a major Swiss insurance company and the title sponsor of the Tour de Suisse.
• Clothing brand: The jersey was produced by the quality brand Craft, whose logo (the six dots) sits in a black circle on the top left of the chest.

Unique features of this specimen:

1. Original signature: On the left side of the jersey (on the red panel next to the white cross) there is an authentic autograph by Cancellara written with a black marker.
2. Official back number: at the bottom of the jersey the official frame/back number is mounted. It shows the Swiss flag, his name CANCELLARA, and his start number 12. This specific number he wore during his pursuit of sprint successes and classifications in the Swiss stage races.
