Very beautiful and decorative oval Art Deco coupe or centerpiece in rosaline pressed glass. The model is 'Irene', designed and produced in 1935 by the German glassworks Walther & Söhne. The vase can be found in the 1935 catalog as model no. 22006 (largest version – see the third drawing from the upper right).
Walther & Söhne was founded in 1888 by August Walther. The company was known for its Art Deco designs. After World War II the company was nationalized and renamed VEB Sachsenglas.
