The Porsche 356 is the brand’s first production model, marking the start of its automotive legend in 1948. Inspired by the Volkswagen Beetle, but with an improved chassis and aerodynamic body, it was Ferry Porsche’s vision. With an air-cooled flat-four engine in the rear, its sleek design and lightness offered agile handling. The 356 laid the foundations for Porsche’s philosophy of creating compact, efficient, and fun-to-drive sports cars.
