Beautiful vintage set of 6 stirrup cups in pewter, made in Italy around the 1960s–1970s, silver-coloured with detailed animal-head sculptures and a duplicated subject, each measuring 8.5 cm in width and depth and 14.5 cm in height.
Description from the seller
Elegant vintage set of 6 hunting-themed stirrup cups, made in Italy around the 1970s. High-quality Italian craftsmanship in the manner of MP Italy and Forst. Each cup features a finely detailed sculpture of animal heads (including boar, deer, and hound).
Collector's note: The set consists of 6 pieces in total but includes a duplicated subject (two identical animal heads), indicating a vintage recombination of the set. The characteristic micro-holes near the sculptures are technical vent holes from the hot pewter casting process, certifying its authenticity and period craftsmanship.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The pewter retains its beautiful, uniform original grey patina with crisp dark contrasts in the fur details. No "pewter disease" or structural warping. Fragile parts (such as the deer antlers) are intact.
