Splendid collection specimen of amethyst quartz from the famous Capurru Quarry, in Osilo, province of Sassari, Sardinia, Italy.

The specimen showcases one of Sardinia's most iconic and sought-after mineralizations inside a protected natural geode. In the cavity of the basaltic rock matrix, splendid, well-formed amethyst quartz crystals develop, characterized by sharp geometric terminations, a pronounced glassy luster, and an enchanting violet-lavender coloration, typical and exclusive to this historic Sardinian site. The inner base of the cavity is partially covered by a patina of secondary minerals with warm yellowish and orange hues, creating a unique color contrast that enhances the delicacy and transparency of the amethyst crystals.
