Christofle is a French silversmithing and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle.

The company is known for introducing electrolytic gilding and silver plating to France in 1842. In 2012, the company was acquired by one of its shareholders, the Chalhoub family luxury group2.

Maison Christofle relies on a production process carried out entirely by hand using traditional techniques. The valuable crafts of lathe-turning and raising, planishing, chasing, and engraving, preserved by its master silversmiths and France’s Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, immortalize the elegance and excellence of every Christofle piece. This is irreplaceable human expertise, passed down by highly skilled artisans.
