Description from the seller

Antique silver soup ladle, entirely crafted from silver of 800 fineness, from the late 19th or early 20th century (Secession/History Revival period). The piece comes from the renowned luxury workshop of court jeweler Friedricha Becherera (Hofjuwelier) operating in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Key advantages and features of the item:

Rare decorative motif: the handle is adorned with a beautiful, deep, engraved and chased botanical motif depicting strawberry leaves and fruit (wild strawberry). The design is complemented by graceful Art Nouveau lines.
No monograms: The surface of both the obverse and reverse is free of historical engravings with initials, which is extremely rare and a major collecting advantage.

Complete punches: on the ladle’s neck are clearly stamped: the goldsmith’s surname “BECHERER”, German state assay mark (crescent and crown), silver fineness “800”, and the workshop’s graphic mark in a cartouche.

Condition:
Very good, cabinet-grade. Natural, delicate patina in the recessed relief beautifully enhances the three-dimensionality of the botanical pattern. No repairs, cracks, or deep scratches.

Technical specifications:

Material: Silver fineness 800 (third standard)
Weight: 122.46 g (solid, substantial silver)
Total length: 30 cm
Bowl dimensions: 7.5 cm x 9 cm (depth approx. 3 cm)
