Bay of Angels - Hand-signed, a 2022 limited edition giclée on canvas by LeYack, 40 x 40 cm, hand-signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, from France, sold directly by the artist, edition limited to 20, ready to frame.
Description from the seller
Late afternoon on a cornice. Leaning against the wing of a cream-colored cabriolet with red leather upholstery, a woman in an ivory, backless evening dress and a printed silk turban holds her black sunglasses at face level, turned toward the bay. Down below, a city with orange-tiled roofs rises, a clear citadel, a harbor crowded with white yachts; to the right, the sea in deep blue, and in the foreground a pine whose shadow cuts across the ground. Semiotically, the painting organizes a hierarchy of gaze: she dominates the port, the port dominates the sea, and the spectator, placed behind her, sees only what she allows. The palette — cream, ochre, cobalt, coral of the sky — reactivates the chromatic anchors of the corpus. Fluid facture, impastos in the foliage, luminous flat areas on the car body.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and on the back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas stretched on a frame, using high-quality pigment ink for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: Mediterranean painting, cream-colored convertible, corniche, marina, backless evening dress, silk turban, black sunglasses, Riviera, 1960s, coral sky, oil on canvas, Le Yack, Atelier Joconde
