Description from the seller
DENON DCD-S10 CD player in excellent condition with original remote control and original multilingual instruction manual
CD player with ALPHA processor. The ALPHA processor is capable of playing data at 16 bits with a 20-bit quality, using digital data stored on a CD or other media and interpolating the digital data where the sound occurred in nature. In addition, when a CD with a different recording method is used, such as CD impulse data, the input signal is analyzed and the corresponding band is automatically modified. The D/A conversion section is equipped with the Λ SLC processor, a DENON exclusive, integrated into the DAC chip to improve accuracy. For the power section, a digital/analog separation structure has been adopted to separate digital and analog circuits in the power supply system, which includes a power transformer, rectifier and leveling circuit. Furthermore, the audio circuit and the servo/digital circuit are arranged in separate units to clean the signal flow and prevent interference. For the disc loader and the base chassis of the turntable drive mechanism, newly designed components have been used. Finally, rigidity is increased thanks to the adoption of a copper-plated steel sheet shielding cover. The disk tray is coated with a special collagen-containing coating material to prevent transmission of vibrations, thereby reducing vibrations to the disk.
By adopting a heavy chassis and lowering its center of gravity, the effect of vibrations is reduced. Additionally, by using a composite material of several metals, such as a sintered alloy and aluminum, for the portion in contact with the floor, vibrations are converted into heat, reducing their impact on sound quality.
The reading mechanism is positioned at the center of the chassis to optimize weight balance and minimize vibrations and resonances when the chassis is driven by a motor.
The servo circuit features a digital servo. In this circuit, the optimal amount of servo can be adjusted according to the conditions of each disc, by detecting its state.
The DCD-S10 can be used as a DAC by wiring two coaxial digital input terminals to the optical system.
It features functions such as direct selection, program selection, repeat, manual search, auto search, index search, fader, peak search and random playback.
It includes an automatic editing function that allows you to specify the tape duration.
It includes an automatic spacing function that inserts about 4 seconds of silence between tracks.
With a 4-level brightness adjustment function, it allows you to modulate the display brightness.
