AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Pair of mid-century Pine Slat Table Lamps - Scandinavian - 1960s - Pine Slat - Crown Silver
Description:
For sale: a rare complete matching pair of vintage table lamps with slat shade, Scandinavian, circa 1960-1975.
Design attributed to the Bengt Lindroos / Werner Schou school for Lynard, Sweden/Denmark. The lamps consist of a stack of round pine slats held together by four stainless steel threaded rods with cap nuts on a solid square base.
The open slatwork creates a warm, diffused light pattern on walls and ceilings. Equipped with original Osram cup reflector (crown silver) E27 bulbs that reflect the light indirectly – exactly as intended at the time.
Dimensions: approx. H 22 cm x W 14 cm x D 14 cm per lamp.
Materials: pine, steel, ceramic E27 socket
Period: 1960-1975, Scandinavian Mid-Century
Origin: private collection Netherlands
Condition: in original, unrestored vintage condition. Wood in good condition, no missing slats, all nuts present. Light signs of use and patina consistent with age. Electrical function at moment of photographing was fine (see photo), but due to age, cord revision is recommended – sold as a vintage object without warranty of electrical function in accordance with Catawiki terms.
A very decorative pair, increasingly hard to find as a two-piece set, perfect for Japandi, mid-century, or Scandinavian interiors on nightstands or sideboards.
