Table - Double Drop-Leaf Table with Carved Pedestal Supports - Oak - REF2026080925

Oak Double Drop-Leaf Table with Carved Pedestal Supports, circa 1930

A distinctive vintage oak table featuring two independently folding side leaves, richly carved pedestal supports and a traditional stretcher base. Its compact proportions and detailed craftsmanship combine practical versatility with the character of early 20th-century European furniture.

Constructed in oak with a warm natural finish, the table features two substantial turned and carved pedestal supports decorated with floral and fluted detailing. The pedestals are connected by a solid wooden stretcher, providing structural stability.

Both side leaves fold down independently, allowing the tabletop to extend from 70 cm to 124 cm. Traditional wooden support mechanisms secure the leaves when extended.

Particularly interesting are the original Roman numeral assembly markings preserved beneath the tabletop. These hand-incised markings reflect traditional cabinetmaking practices, where corresponding wooden components were identified during construction and assembly.

Good vintage condition with a naturally developed patina and surface wear consistent with age and use. The carved wooden supports, folding leaves and traditional construction details are preserved.
