AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
YASHICA Electro 35 GS, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Yashica Electro 35 GS, released around 1970, is part of the legendary Electro 35 rangefinder family, with a fast Color-Yashinon-DX 45mm f/1.7 lens and aperture-priority automatic exposure via a stepless electronic shutter. Renowned for low-light shooting and a beloved classic of Japanese rangefinders. A battery is required.
Condition: Used — Excellent
Pre-owned, moderate signs of use, optics clear
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens: Clear (cleaned inside)
Viewfinder: Clean (cleaned inside)
Functional
The shutter fires, Bulb works and the automatic exposure responds; the pad of death (PoD) has been checked.
The light meter reads 1.5 stops over at EV12 and 2.0 stops over at EV15.
Light seals replaced.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.5 OVER / EV15: 2.0 OVER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
- Lens cleaned internally
- Light seals (foam) replaced
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
