Adjustable desk lamp with a chrome-plated brass goose neck – Industrial / Mid-Century style – 1950s/1960s
Fascinating orientable table or writing desk lamp, an icon of industrial design and mid-century modernism.
The piece stands out for high-quality craftsmanship: the hemispherical shade and circular base are made of solid brass with an era-chrome finish, as confirmed by a magnet test and by the warm golden tone of brass showing at wear points on the base. The flexible goose-neck arm is in chrome-plated harmonic steel, perfectly taut and able to hold any desired position.
Completing the design is an elegant cylindrical sleeve at the base of the arm in turned and painted wood, serving as an insulating grip, typical of the period’s excellent productions. The anti-tip base retains the original red protective felt on the bottom. The interior of the lampshade features the original white enamel finish that reflects light.

• Materials: Solid brass plated chrome (base and diffuser), chrome-plated harmonic steel (arm), wood (sleeve).
• Electrical system: Functional, equipped with a push-button switch on the base and a standard E27 bulb socket.
• Condition: Generally good vintage condition. The structure is solid and the wiring is tested. It shows a beautiful patina of time on the chrome (small signs of blooming and surface wear that attest to its authenticity and historical charm, visible in photos).
