Italian onyx and bronze low coffee table from the 1950s in an antique‑inspired Rococo style, 80 cm long by 50 cm wide by 44 cm high, with a natural green, cream, ochre, red and burgundy veined onyx top and a gilt bronze decorative frame, in very good condition with minor age wear.
Description from the seller
Elegant low coffee table for the living room dating from the 1950s-1960s of the 20th century, inspired by French Rococo style.
The table features a refined, contoured top in natural onyx, 2 cm thick, characterized by suggestive multicolored veins in green, cream, ochre, red and burgundy tones. The natural variations and patterns of the stone render every detail unique and confer a remarkable decorative value to the top.
The richly ornamented structure has a bronze-colored finish and decorative relief work, with scroll motifs, stylized floral elements and a finely decorated undershelf fascia. The curved, sinuous legs, embellished with ornamental details, evoke the elegant and scenographic taste of French Rococo.
Thanks to its compact dimensions and the combination of multicolored stone with an elaborately decorated frame, the table is ideal for a classic living room, an eclectic setting or an interior furnished with vintage and antique-inspired pieces.
Dimensions
Height: 44 cm
Length: 80 cm
Width: 50 cm
Condition
The table is in excellent overall condition, compatible with its age. Normal signs of wear on the top are present, consistent with the period of manufacture.
On one side there is a small chip in the superficial varnish applied to the onyx. The defect concerns only the varnish: the underlying natural stone is not chipped or damaged. The imperfection is little visible and does not compromise the overall aesthetics of the table.
The photographs of the table in a setting have been edited with the help of artificial intelligence for illustrative purposes. The original images of the item document the real table.
An elegant vintage furnishing accessory, characterized by a striking decorative combination between the natural onyx veining and the sinuous lines of the structure, ideal for adding character and refinement to any room.
